OLK PNEUMATIC is one of the professional Cylinder magnetic switch manufacturers and suppliers in China. Our products have in stock of factory, welcome to wholesale Cylinder magnetic switch from us.
Cylinder magnetic switch is used to detect the position of air cylinder stroke, Do not need for machine control valves or stroke switches and their mounting brackets at both ends of the stroke, and without the need for collision blocks at the end of the piston rod, making it easy to use and compact in structure. High reliability, long lifespan, low cost, and short switch response time, hence it has been widely used.
OLK suggest when using, it is important to note that Cylinder magnetic switch should not be installed near devices with strong magnetic fields. When two pneumatic cylinders equipped with magnetic switches move in parallel, to prevent magnetic interference, the distance should be greater than 40mm. It is necessary to regularly check whether the position of the magnetic switch is offset.

Precautions for Magnetic Switches
·Do not short-circuit 2-wire switches.
2-wire magnetic switches have very low resistance. Connecting them directly to power can cause a short circuit and burn the switch.
·Check wiring polarity.
2-wire switches must be connected with the correct polarity. Reversed wiring may cause the signal light not to turn on.
3-wire switches must also be wired correctly, or they may be damaged.
·Do not connect directly to large inductive loads.
Large loads like motors or big solenoid valves can cause surge current and destroy the switch. Make sure voltage and current are stable and clean.
·Avoid strong magnetic fields and metal chips.
These can reduce sensitivity and cause false signals or failure. For strong magnetic environments, use special magnetic switches designed for that use.
·Do not use in harsh environments.
The sensor head is made of resin. Avoid water, chemicals, or seawater, which can cause it to crack or swell.
·Handle with care.
Magnetic switches are fragile. Avoid impacts, pulling, or rough handling during storage, transport, and installation.
·Leakage current in 2-wire electronic switches.
These switches have a small leakage current. Make sure the load’s starting current is higher than the leakage current to avoid false signals. 3-wire switches have lower leakage, or use mechanical switches with no leakage.
·For other special conditions, consult before use.

FAQ:
How is a magnetic switch used?
Magnetic switches can be used in conjunction with PLC, relays, and other controllers to transmit signals.
What are the precautions for magnetic switches?
Do not short-circuit the power supply directly when using magnetic switches.
What is a non-contact magnetic switch?
A non-contact magnetic switch works differently from a contact type. It uses electronic components to detect magnets, instead of mechanical parts like reed switches. That’s why it’s also called a solid-state or electronic magnetic switch. It has better resistance to shock and vibration, and its lifespan is nearly permanent.

Detection way
characteristic
Limit switch:Limit switches are installed with collision blocks in front of the piston rod. In the limit switch type, collision blocks are installed on the piston rod, and limit switches (such as travel switches and mechanical control directional valves) are installed at both ends of the piston rod's movement stroke to detect the piston's movement stroke. It is a contact switch.
1) The workload of design, installation, debugging, and maintenance is large.
2) The installation space is large
3) The cost is high.
4)If used improperly, the lifespan is short.
5) Not affected by magnetic fields
Magnetic switch:Magnetic switch type is to install two magnetic switches directly at different positions on the cylinder body to detect the movement stroke of the air cylinder. It is a non-contact switch.
1) Greatly saving design and installation time, easy to debug
2) Small installation space
3) The cost is greatly reduced, with fewer attachments.
4) It has high reliability, long lifespan, and good repeatability of action positions. There is no problem of mechanical impact damage, and it has strong dust, water, and oil resistance capabilities. 5) It is easy to achieve electric pneumatic joint control
6) Anti magnetic measures should be taken in strong magnetic fields
