SC Pneumatic Speed Controller Valve, G-thread Type Method of use:
Use an Allen key or a hex wrench to screw the fitting into the cylinder’s air inlet/outlet threads as shown in the figure. Refer to the figure for the tightening torque.
When adjusting cylinder speed with the speed controller, make sure the valve is closed before applying compressed air. If air is applied while the valve is open, the cylinder may move too fast and cause accidents.
Rotate the adjustment knob slowly by hand. After setting the desired speed, turn the locking nut down to secure the knob and prevent further adjustment.
Turn the knob clockwise to reduce airflow and slow down the cylinder.
Turn the knob counterclockwise to increase airflow and speed up the cylinder.
Pneumatic Speed Controller Valve Precautions
The M5 thread is small. Do not use tools to tighten. With the built-in sealing washer, hand tightening is enough. Over-tightening may break the thread. Clean the tubing and fitting before installation to avoid debris causing malfunction or air leaks.
High air pressure or dirty air may damage the sealing ring. Install an air filter if needed, and choose high-pressure, corrosion-resistant fittings.
Do not frequently plug/unplug the tube, as it reduces the life of the fitting and tube. Insert the tube fully to the bottom to avoid leaks. Before removing the tube, make sure there is no pressure inside and press the fitting end cap down before pulling out.
Make sure the tube end is cut flat. Uneven ends can cause poor sealing and leaks. Trim the tube properly and ensure the outer surface is undamaged.
Use tubes of sufficient length. Avoid sharp bends at the fitting top, which can damage the fitting. After connecting, pull the tube slightly to check it is secure before use.
When removing the tube, press the plastic interface evenly while pulling out. Do not rotate the tube or twist 360°, or the tube may get grooves and cause leaks.
Do not use tools other than your hand to turn the adjustment knob. Do not apply extra force when the knob reaches upper or lower limits, or the fitting may be damaged.
Some internal leakage is normal when the speed controller is closed. Avoid using in applications that require zero internal leakage.
