Select the flow rate according to the air consumption of the downstream equipment.
In general, we recommend choosing a filter with a slightly higher flow rate than the actual air demand to avoid insufficient air supply that could affect equipment operation.
There is no need to select an excessively large flow rate, as this would cause unnecessary waste.
2. How to choose the filtration accuracy?
The filtration accuracy depends on the pore size of the filter element. Different applications require different air quality levels.
For industries such as metallurgy and steel, where air quality requirements are not very high, a filter with a larger pore size is sufficient.
For industries such as pharmaceuticals and electronics, which require high air cleanliness, a fine or precision filter with a smaller pore size is recommended.
The specific filter should be selected according to the equipment requirements.
Please note that the finer the filter, the higher the air resistance, which may cause a pressure drop.
Our air preparation units are available with automatic drain, differential pressure drain, and manual drain.
Automatic drain can be divided into normally open (no pressure) and normally closed (no pressure) types.
Differential pressure drain mainly opens to drain when pressure is released.
Application suggestions:
Automatic drain: Suitable for pipelines where manual operation is inconvenient, such as high locations, narrow spaces, or pipelines where air supply cannot be stopped.
Differential pressure drain: Suitable for pipelines that are easy to access, such as external machine installations or control panels, and where downstream air supply can be temporarily stopped.
